South Carolina Electric Cooperative Empowerment Program - Virtual Session
Are you a member of the Pee Dee or Edisto Electric Cooperatives? If so, you're invited to participate in the South Carolina Electric Cooperative Empowerment Program (SCECEP), which is a series of community engagement events that educate community leaders on how they can serve on the Board of Trustees of their local electric cooperative. This series of community engagement events will focus on the Pee Dee and Edisto Electric Cooperatives.
This is a virtual-only session on Tuesday, July 18 at 5:30PM.
The first 25 attendees of each virtual session will receive a $10 Subway gift card!

The community engagement events will cover:
How electric cooperatives serve and operate in their communities
The role of the Board of Trustees on electric cooperatives
How attendees can run for election on their local electric cooperative's Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees of electric cooperatives are locally elected and paid positions.
Only two Board members are diverse on the Pee Dee Electric Cooperative Board.
There are no diverse members on the Edisto Electric Cooperative Board.
